Using
E-max even the most complex job is split into its base constituents,
typically operations and purchased materials and components.

a customer defined set of rules.

Where planning
is too variable or there is insufficient production control staff,
this is often the only practical approach.

FINITE SCHEDULING
Finite scheduling
can be used to schedule work at key work centres. When anything
changes that affects the schedule it automatically re-calculates
the dates when the works order and sales orders are going to be
completed . For example:
- clocking
onto or off a job via shop floor data collection
- new works
orders raised or amended
- resetting
job priorities or amending calendars
- moving a
job to a different machine/workcentre
Often it is
too much effort to allocate work centres to each operation so one
can finite load key bottleneck machines and analyse the rest of
the load through infinite scheduling.
One can also
plan jobs at the very last minute and move operations to free or
lightly loaded work centres a short time before work starts.
Extremely
fast algorithms are used to calculate completion dates so even the
largest schedule takes a short time to calculate.
